Founded in 2013, ARCH-T (D-Shape Architectural Technologies) are at the cutting edge of the design, manufacture and supply of large scale digital fabrication elements in architecture. The company offers a complete solution within commercial projects, in addition to a range of specialist digital services.
The work of Arch-T centres around a combined focus on solid materials and computational design. Their portfolio contains projects utilising a number of fabrication techniques, explored at a range of scales, from prototypes to large stone constructions. Each project maintains a distinct digital character, whilst being addressed through a grounded material understanding and knowledge of production.
The ongoing research maintains relationships in industry and academia, with roles at The Bartlett School of Architecture and industry partners throughout Europe and Asia. A collaborative approach allows a diverse range of projects to be achieved, with traditional and non-traditional architectural roles presumed.
ARCH-T can deliver the following packages within commercial projects.
ARCH-T offers a number of digital services. As architects who exclusively produce specialist digital work, we are able to offer digital modelling, data engineering and computational design to clients. We utilise an extensive range of software packages and aim to integrate seamlessly within a commercial workflow.
Bespoke elements and features are often required to embellish a commercial project. ARCH-T contains the balance of expertise to deliver unique formal geometries as a highly crafted material finish. These can be positioned within a project as a showpiece, or integrated within an assembly as a feature.
Our industry partners all deliver cutting-edge solutions to architectural fabrication. From a close understanding of computational aesthetics, data preparation and technology we are able to produce sophisticated and competitive solutions for manufacturing.
We work directly with contractors on 1:1 scale elements, or alternatively can supply design prototypes as scale models. Systems we typically operate produce robotic milled natural stone pieces and complex moulds for cast concrete. We also offer 3D printing at a range of scales and materials, with expertise in large-scale bespoke elements.
3D-Printing is no longer reserved for models and prototypes. We are entering a stage where construction products and architectural elements are a realistic option.
